Disturbed Digital Females

Corrado Vanelli’s Brand of TwistFantasyVisuals Dazzles Viewers’Eyes

It appears digital art programs like Corel Painter and Photoshop are attracting all great modern contemporary artists, as individuals like Corrado Vanelli can’t help but use such software to churn out these wonderful pieces of fantasy art. I can’t complain; I’m actually very grateful for these twisted yet beautiful illustrations of women, which are quickly becoming some of my favorite art finds of the month…  <read full story and see all the pics here> @ <http://www.trendhunter.com/>

Wicked artist!

billy wimblett entertainment design

I was born in London, England in 1991, and as you would expect I was drawing from a very young age. A long lasting fascination with aircraft and animals fuelled my imagination, and throughout my childhood I would spend ages creating my own creatures, spaceships and futuristic worlds….  <see his art and full website here>

Nice loose work with great lighting and implied detail.  Great ideas there!

What a visual way to tell a story.  Very clever technique, I’d love to see an animation with these characters.  Could be a great exercise to rig these things up and make their performance feel as good as their look.  You just naturally love these little guys, people can’t underestimate how well these characters have been designed.  Great work!

Cool little info-graphic on how this artist deals with color.  Good on em’ for sharing the technique!

too cute: tiny robot busts out the dance moves

Japan has robots in just about every flavor you can imagine. There are ‘bots to care for the elderly and ‘bots to cook you ramen. There are even robots to belt out the latest pop tunes<read full story here> @ <http://www.cnngo.com/>

Makes me think of that great dance scene in Geisha…

wouldn’t it be great to have a full-size more human robo-geisha doing a full dance?  Cool stuff!
